Dassin Defender came from USA to Sweden. Just at 10 m old. At the pic he is 16 months old
Dassin Defender, came to us as a 10 months old youth dog, happy and full with life. Saddle down in Guldtackans' Quarantine station from the day one! It was a real joy to be living with this dog, but unfortunately we had him too short time, he become 8 years and 3 months old. And we lost him dramatical after he had got cancer in hes prostate. He left us all with bookends hearts, but lovely kids...
Kids we have the pleasure to enjoy still today, so many generations after...I can still see me little Dassin Defender in  a lot of them.
Dassin Defender was 56 cm. Black and Xray HD H witch means today this is the SAME as A1!!! Nothing else! He was showed and got CACIB at dog shows.
He left us amazing puppies!
Was used in breeding By Guldtackan's and Vikingline.

One of the critics he got from the shows:

Dassin Defender, made it clear for me to NEVER let any of my males to be the new breeding matador!
He came to Sweden at the time we needed to get down in size. Most of the Standards where inbreed and line breed to same 2 dogs.
As soon as my boy arrived, most of the breeders contacted me and wanted to breed there females with him. He got tested and showed. At the first show, some of the breeders came and looked at my wonderful male. And said like this; well we have to see how he is doing at the shows, if he get to Win, we will use him!
First I thought it was a sick joke! Then I got to understand it is NOT the dog they wanted to have the honour to use, it was THE TITLES!! Holy crap!
If this is the way to build up a breeding, I do NOT want to be a part of it!
I have done my breeding since I'm convinced it will be a good combination, something better in next generation. If I have not been convinced about a combination, I have NOT breed the dogs! Do they have titles? I don't care!
Everyone that have been into the dog shows, knows that a good grooming and handling can make the looser to be the winner! Simple!!
This is the reason to why I just let my males, since soon 30 years back, just breed to females that are in hands of breeders who KNOWS what they want, and WANT to strive for a better breeding result!
Dassin Defender has his children in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Spain and USA. Most of these children has been used in breeding and have done a good work for the breed!
